The Committee shall meet the 3rd Monday of the month at 6pm in the 2nd floor Conference Room at Town Hall.
This Committee will collect all data and catalog the results of the Community Center Score Card. The Committee will assess public health and safety of the building based on current conditions and determines if the building is safe for continued occupancy based on those conditions. It will assess code compliance of all applicable codes for current and future uses. It will perform cost of construction analysis for the following options: 1. the demolition of the existing building, and the construction of a new building, 2. the renovation of the existing building, and, 3. a combination of demolition, new addition, and renovation of the existing building based on the future needs of the community. The Committee will be responsible for a preliminary design and specification of systems and materials for construction- emphasizing green community, sustainable and renewable energy standards. The Committee will address and determine General Contractor construction means and methods (i.e. Filed Sub-Bid or prequalification bidding process. The need for a Construction Manager, Guaranteed Maximum Price contracting, etc…) and update the Community Center Study of Committee of its findings by report at its regular monthly meeting.
