Hobomock Pond is now open to passive recreational uses like swimming and shoreline fishing. Boating of any kind will remian prohibited until further notice.

CONSERVATION COMMISSION
Notice is hereby given of a public hearing conducted by the Pembroke Conservation Commission under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40 (Wetlands Protection Act) on Monday, June 29, 2009, at 7:50 p.m. in the Board of Selectmen’s Office at Pembroke Town Hall to consider the Notice of Intent filed on June 15, 2009, by Mr. Ray Holman of the Pembroke Watershed Association, P. O. Box 368, Pembroke, MA, to implement a multiple year aquatic management program on the selective control of non-native submersed plants as well as unbalanced algae populations using MADAR/USEPA registered aquatic herbicides and algaecides in Oldham and Furnace Ponds in Pembroke (and Hanson), Massachusetts.
