Highway Department

The Pembroke D. P. W. is reminding all Town residents that there will be salted sand available outside the Town Shed, 387 Mattakeesett Street for emergency use this winter.

When snow is forecast, residents are asked to keep all parked vehicles off streets that are plowed by the Town to expedite snow plowing and sanding operations. Vehicles obstructing sanding and plowing operations will be towed at owner's expense. No one other than a town employee or contractor hired by the Town may shovel, snow-blow or plow ice or snow onto a roadway in such a way that it impedes traffic. The Town is not responsible for damaged mailboxes, driveway aprons, walkways, stonewalls, grassed areas, shrubs, trees, fences, planters or barrels within the Town Layout.

Tree Department

A public hearing was held by the Tree Warden and the DPW Commissioners at the Department of Public Works Office, 100 Center St., on October 6, 2008 at 7 p.m. This request is from William Bishop asking to remove one Town owned 24" White Oak tree at 312 Pleasant ST. for the purpose of relocating his driveway. This notice is pursuant to M.G.L. CH 87, Sec. 3.
