Center Plaza Update: On June 1, 2010, the road work began in the intersection of Route 14 and Route 36. They will be removing the existing sidewalk from the intersection to where it currently ends around Elliott Avenue. The pavement in this same area is going to be milled. Please arrange your travel plans, with expected delays, due to this construction.
Joint Bridge Rehabilitation Activities. This project has begun with the Town of Hanover. The first bridge they are working on is the Washington Street Bridge. Erosion and sediment control is in place. On the Hanover side, site clearing has been completed for access to the North River. Cleaning of the Stone Arch Bridge and various masonry work will be going on for the next couple of weeks.

Winter Snow Removal notice: The Pembroke D.P.W. is reminding all Town residents that there will be Salted Sand available outside the gate at the Town Shed, 387 Mattakeesett Street for emergency use.
When snow is forecast, residents are asked to keep all parked vehicles off streets that are plowed by the Town to expedite snow plowing and sanding operations. Vehicles obstructing sanding and plowing operations will be towed at owner’s expense. No one other than a town employee or contractor hired by the Town may shovel, snow-blow or plow ice or snow onto a roadway in such a way that it impedes traffic. The Town is not responsible for damaged mailboxes, driveway aprons, walkways, stonewalls, grassed areas, shrubs, trees, fences, planters or barrels within the Town Layout. Tree Department
Hardwood logs for sale
The Pembroke DPW Would like to notify residents and business owners of Pembroke that hardwood logs are for sale by the truckload as we continue removing many hazardous dead oaks.
This wood will be sold in log lengths of 4 to 10 foot lengths. These log lengths will be 2 to 3 feet in diameter. These can then be cut and split and used as firewood by the purchaser.
Residents will pay $50.00 for a truckload delivered
Business owners will pay $100.00 for a truckload delivered
To place an order, please call 781-709-1426. Please make checks payable to the Town of Pembroke with “Tree Fund” in the memo section.
Monies will be deposited into a revolving fund to be used for tree replacement around Town, the purchase of shrubs, flowers, mulch and materials for beautification as well as equipment for maintenance.
