The Community Preservation Committee will accept funding requests for Fiscal Year 2011 starting March 1st. All requests must be received by May 31, 2010.
Building permit fees are now posted on the Building Department page.
There are new committees in town! The Solid Waste/recycling Committee will study ways to improve the recycling rates in town to save money. The Town Government Study Committee was formed last year to determine if Pembroke should move to a Town manager form of government.
Remember to pick up nomination papers by March 11th. Complete election details on the Town Clerk page.
The Pembroke Food Pantry is in need of the following items: all types of cleaning supplies; health and beauty aids such as bar shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant; paper products such as toilet tissue, paper towels, napkins and tissues. The Pantry is located in the Community Center Building and open on Wednesdays from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. 781-293-4107. There are several drop off locations convenient to all including the Fire Department and the Library which are open seven days a week.
The Anniversary committee is looking for old Pembroke photographs. Check the attic, or your grandparents' shoe boxes! We are also looking for quilters interested in designing and making a Pembroke Quilt! See the Anniversary page for complete details.
