There was another reverse 911 phone notification announcing the removal of the boil water order.

If your phone number is UNLISTED or you have NO LAND LINE, contact the Selectman's Office at 781-293-3844 to have your phone number listed for reverse 911 notification. Or email dtobin@townofpembrokemass.org

Update, Tuesday August 19 4:35 p.m.: DEP is conditionally dropping the Boil Order. Effective immediately. full press release.

Added note: the water is safe. The "conditions" are on the D.P.W. to monitor and maintain chlorine levels throughout the system. There have been five "clean" tests.

If you have an ice maker, the recommendation is to run two "waste" loads of ice and dispose of them. The third is fine, as per the D.E.P.
Water heaters do not need to be drained. Running water by showering and washing dishes should be sufficient.
